As of June or so, I will not be working at the restaurant anymore. I've been planning to stay at home with the baby and focus more on photography, which I have kind of taken a break from recently. In that spirit, I landed a new client this past week! I'll be helping Lauren, owner of the Louel Boutique here in Clinton, by taking all her product/misc photos for her new website, promo material, and other misc uses. She is an adorable, gorgeous, sweet person, and I cannot wait to work with her.
I am sure that every woman reaches this at some point in her pregnancy...but I am ready to have the baby! I am a little tired of being pregnant. I am anxious to meet the baby and put all this stuff I've been reading about parenting into practice. I know, I know - I can hear people saying just wait until you're 40 weeks and overdue, THEN you can complain about wanting the baby. I'm not saying that I'm uncomfortable and that's why I'm ready for the pregnancy to be over, I'm just ready to meet the baby.
We have a crib!! It came to us from our friend Judy, who found this crib that a couple was looking to unload. It's very sturdy, white metal crib with high rounded sides. It converts to a toddler bed as well. I checked this crib model out, and they only thing I could find was a warning about installing the slider mechanism correctly (duh), which I think we can manage. The style is more like what we prefer, plus it saved us about $200. We have to get a mattress, and after we put it all together I will take some photos.
My husband is the sweetest husband I've ever had.
Just a note...
Today marks week 22, about a month away from trimester three, and it has been a super busy past week! We were so crowded at the restaurant I almost wanted it to be buffet style. For a while I have felt like I'm just slower, I can't hustle as fast as I used to, and the last few days of work certainly put that to the test. On Sunday Nola's participated in the Epicurean Delight, which is a fundraiser for Hospice care. Different restaurants set up a table with various food, and people pay a $40 donation to come in, enjoy the food, and sign up for a raffle. We got to dress up, which was fun and different from our normal all black ensembles. Funnily enough, almost all of us wore black dresses anyway! Since I only have about two nice dresses that still fit, I bought a gorgeous pair of gray suade BCBG wedges. Still, even though I was only there for about 4 hours, standing up in heels for that long plus the couple of hard work days beforehand equaled a 7.30 bedtime for me. Oh yes. Seven. Thirty.
So here we are at 21 weeks, basically the same as before. I have felt movement a few more times, but not at all everyday or anything. Right now I am looking forward to being 6 months, visiting St. Louis, and having Mama & Josh visit. Amos and I have been cooking more dinners at home, which has been fun. Other than that, mostly the same.
